The proposed development is split into 2 phases. The first phase consists of blocks A and C and comprises of 275 residential units – 219 in block A and 56 in block C. There are a remaining 144 units in Block B which totals 419 units across both phases.
Block A forms a C shape around a central landscaped court yard. The facades facing the courtyard will be clad in white render and high sheen cladding this will reflect light into the space making it a fresh and enticing space.
Block B which will be completed as part of phase 2 is in the form of an L shape and along with block C also form a semi enclosed space, again bright and fresh materials are used on the internal façades to refract light down into the space.
Blocks A and B line Gildart street with active frontages made up of communal facilities for the residents and 2no x retail spaces. These retail spaces both turn the corner and have a significant presence on Islington, one of the main thoroughfares into Liverpool city centre.
Blocks A & B are suitable for residential accommodation and block C could easily be designated for student accommodation with 56 studio flats. Alternatively we could allocate blocks B & C to student accommodation which would give a total of 200 student apartments. We are acquiring the site out of Administration and we have an experienced and successful team in delivering such projects having just completed a transaction in Salford for a similar type project.
A highly experienced and bespoke inhouse contractor with deliverable track record supported by “best in class” professional team is undertaking the project and expected to commence works in summer 2023.
