David Cain

Chief Development Officer and co-founder

David Cain is a seasoned construction and development leader with over 18 years’ experience. He founded Mellior Group in 2022, managing over £100m in projects. Known for revitalising complex schemes, David brings entrepreneurial vision and delivery expertise to Bentry Capital’s strategic growth and regeneration-focused investment platform.

Steven Hughes

Operations Lead

With 15+ years in construction and development, Steven leads operations at Mellior. He works with the Commercial Lead to shape processes, drive team productivity, and ensure project quality. As Operations Lead, he oversees health & safety management while supporting strategic planning, cost appraisals and risk analysis across development opportunities, aligning delivery with company growth.


Paul Wong

Commercial Lead

Paul leads Mellior’s commercial function, bringing over 30 years of industry experience. He oversees governance, cost viability, and risk management across all projects. Working closely with Operations, he ensures that delivery aligns with company standards. As the primary point of contact for contracts, Paul liaises with legal consultants to safeguard Mellior’s commercial interests.


Neil Shaw

Senior Design Manager

Neil brings deep expertise in design, construction, and compliance, with a strong focus on cost-to-value risk mitigation. He excels at leading multidisciplinary teams, chairing workshops, and driving strategic solutions. Passionate about continuous learning, Neil also mentors team members, fostering both technical growth and professional development across the business.

Lisa Manley

HR Manager

Lisa oversees all HR functions at Mellior, ensuring employment policies comply with current regulations and best practices. She manages recruitment, training, benefits, remuneration, and monitors attendance. Lisa ensures staff adherence to company standards while maintaining a compliant, supportive workplace that aligns with Mellior’s operational and strategic goals.

Charlene Richardson

Accounts Manager

Charlene manages Mellior’s finance operations, overseeing accounting data, financial reporting, and compliance. She ensures accounts are finalised on time and in line with company standards. Her role includes auditing reports, maintaining records, and implementing systems that support strategic decision-making and provide accurate financial insights to Directors and senior leadership.
